Poem: I am a Reader

I can't put together things to give them a shape,
Neither I am allowed to do so by those,
Who do this work, and make things.

I can't put together ideas or words ,
To shape a theory or a story
That is of some worth and value.
And the fact that I may not put together
Parts to create a whole , remains there.

So , I resolved that I am a reader,
And I am a reader par excellence!
For as a reader I only consume,
Ideas and commodities of others;
Others, who are more capable to produce,
Than me , a mere consumer.

My stuff is of a lesser quality,
I make things of an ephemeral value
The market does not accept my work,
and sends it back.

So, I resolved to remain a reader, and,
As a reader I see and learn whatever I observe.

Poem: The Curse on Internet

The world cannot be reduced to a computer screen
Nor my life to a room, a chair and an interaction,
between my mind and the internet.
This devil in my soul has risen to a height,
Where I want to crush its head with my will,
to set me free from this reduced world.

I want to turn my gaze away from this show
of commodities and the noise of marketers; a market ,
that sucks my blood , and keeps me faceless.

On the internet , identity dissolves, into categories, categories,
big and small, hiding individuals and manifesting types.

This web entangles to separate man from the earth, from the body,
and throws upward to make you lose your ground.

Groundless , hovering above the earth a man lives, who gives himself
to the web , and never gains weight . One loses without finding a gain,
in this faceless market of faceless people.

What I have to do with billions; to me a few are enough,
"One is always one too many around me", once said a saint.

Gher bohut he bari haqiqat he,

Gher ka chain-o-sakoon zinda baad
Gher ka aish-o-aaram zinda baad

Gher ki dunya he Maoo.N ki dunya!

Aye mere maa.N tu ye bata mujh ko
Konsi mehnatoo.N ka he ye samar?
Jannattoo.N mai.N na ye sakoo.N ho ga
Jannatoo.N se haseen ter he ye gher

Aur ye sab he aap ke dam se!

Ye jo charkha chalay he is gher mai.N
Ghomne se ise ke he gardish
Saari dunya ki aasmaanoo.N ki
Is mai.N aati nahi.N koi laghzish

Aur ye sab he aap ke dam se

Dhoo.Nd qadmaoo.N mai.N maa.O.N ke jannat
Dhoop mai.N sir pe un ke ho chaya
Gham rahe door door he un se
Sir pe jin ke ho maa.ON ka saaya
sari khushyaa.N hai.N maa.O.N ke dam se!

Jis ko maa.N ki duaa.E.N hoo.N hasil
Us se qismat ko kiya adawat ho
Aasmaa.N bhi ho meherbaa.N us pe
Paas jis ke tere mohabbat ho
Maa.O.N ke dam se he Jahaa.N roshan

Poem: Madness

This madness always comes to me
Like a thunder like a flash,
And burns my branched thought's tree
With towering flames of powers rash,
I keep my cool and wait to see
the end of mind's agony.

Unnoticed comes it to my mind
Often at a lonely time
And turns my weary mind blind
And bids my consciousness to mime
A thickly withered cloud of smoke
That fills the minds of maddened folk

After this comes fantasy
I see a visage in the moon
A picture of my malady
Reminding me of life's noon
A form I loved with all my will
The reason for my being so ill.

At times when comes this sorrow mood
I lose my very appetite
I find myself a person rude
Who seldom sleeps or rests at night
No sleeping pill no tablet works
I feel spasms, pains and jerks.

Stone in palm and cough in mouth
With flaming eyes and angry face
I follow people north and south
With wounded feet's invalid pace
Till the darkness of the night
Hide's from me this very sight.

I come then to a road-stead
To take some rest and go to sleep
These dogs on street, an ugly breed,
away from me my resting keep
I somehow drive these dogs away
To be the monstor sleep's prey

Poem: Rule and Exception

To see within myself the play of being
I once cut myself from rest of the world
but better than in this reflective self seeing,
I found its layers in the world unfurled.

The rule for me is always revealing,
As compared to me, a rare exception!
The way of the folk is far more appealing,
than mine own, thats a mere deflection
from the rule that allures the high to the low
and bids that exception to the rule should go.

A detour to a goal is something strange
for the reason behind its choice betrays
that it lies beyond our reason's range
for there were other shorter distanced ways
to approach the goal besides this detour
much shorter paths with a defined contour.

so why this detour, rough and ridged
is picked by the folks to reach the goal.
Who knows! But the detour may have bridged
more delightfully certain links in one's soul
and people loved to tread that longer way
to remind them of their lives' sunny day.

Poem :Wisdom and Laughter

When I descended from my cave
to share my wisdom with the folk
I was then greeted by non save
an old man garbed in wisdom's cloak.
laughing like a boy came he
and for my virtue greeted me.

That laughing saint reminded me,
of Plato's saying that when you,
the shining face of truth do see,
You first become a person who
has lost his reason and his wits
a cause for triggering laughter fits.

This metaphor of cave my friend
I owe to Nietzsche's thoughtful mind
who says that when you comprehend
something truthful; then you find
the joy of wisdom in your soul
that takes away your self control.

Poem: Beauty

A lot of words I read today,

With different meanings, different shades;

So different, but they said one thing;

They all were meant to pass the gates

of life to enter death's regime.

However, big a person is,

Whatever fame and name he has,

The author of this book of life,

Will never let his name stay,

Forever in this life's book.

However , beauty of thy face

For me amidst this life and death,

is like a goodly glass of wine,

That brings me peace and blissful calm

Amidst the threats of finitude.
